HOW TO CONSIGN

Choose your items to consign

Select upscale clothing that is less than two years old and in pristine condition.

Prepare your items

All clothing must be laundered/dry cleaned, pressed and on hangers. Items in better condition sell faster.

Drop off your items

Visit our boutique Monday through Thursday between 11:30 and 4:30. No appointment needed.

Receive payment

You receive 50% of the selling price. Checks for $25.00 or greater are mailed by the 15th for items sold the previous month.

Note: Due to the increase in consignors, it's highly recommended that you call first to ensure we have room for additional items.

CONSIGNMENT POLICY FOR 2025

Consignment Hours

Consignments are accepted Monday through Thursday without an appointment from 11:30 to 4:30.

What We Accept

We consign only upscale clothing less than two years old for 60 days. We also accept shoes, handbags and accessories. We do not accept wedding dresses but do take Mother of the Bride/Groom dresses. We accept furs seasonally and are always in need of designer handbags. We are no longer taking sizes XXS, 0 and 2.

Condition Requirements

All clothing must be laundered/dry cleaned, pressed and on hangers. The better the condition items are in the more appealing they are to the shopper and the faster they will sell. Please make sure your items are in pristine condition prior to bringing them in. We will examine your items ONE time. After that, any items found stained or damaged will be donated. NO EXCEPTIONS. We accept brands like J Crew, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor up to Designer items.

Brands We Do Not Accept

Junior brands such as Abercrombie, American Eagle, American Rag, Charlotte Russe, H & M, Hollister, Miley Cyrus, Mudd, My Michelle, Old Navy, Gap, Papaya, Rue 21, Say What, Speechless, Wet Seal and XOXO.

We do not accept brands from Walmart, Target, Harolds, Lord & Taylor, Parisian, Sigrid Olsen, Petite Sophiticate, Dress Barn, New York & Company and Acorn.

We do not take vintage clothing.

Item Pickup & Donation

It is the Consignor's responsibility to call for pick up PRIOR to your expiration date. We will hold the items for 2 weeks past that date. If they are not picked up at that time they will be donated. We are happy to provide you with a tax receipt for donation to the Drake Closet.

Pricing & Payment

Merchandise is priced according to its condition and current retail value. The store reserves the right to determine the value of an item. We mark regular priced merchandise down every 3 weeks. Merchandise may be reduced at any time by 10% or more for special sale promotions and store coupons.

Checks for $25.00 or greater are mailed by the 15th for items sold the previous month. You receive 50% of the selling price.

Additional Information

Due to the increase in Consignors it is highly recommended that you give us a call to make sure we have room for additional items when you are considering dropping.

(We do not consign men's clothing. There are 3 consignment stores that do: Finder's Keepers in Decatur, Labels in Buckhead and Revive in Woodstock.)

We are transparent about all items in our store. We provide detailed information about each piece including the brand, condition, size, and any other relevant details to help customers make informed decisions.

What happens if my items don't sell?

After the 60-day consignment period, you can choose to pick up your unsold items, extend the consignment period with a potential price reduction, or donate the items to charity.
